Odoxil SUSP 30ml

Odoxil Suspension is used in the treatment of bacterial infections in children. It is effective against upper respiratory tract, urinary tract, and skin and soft tissue infections. A bacterial infection is a condition in which harmful bacteria enter, multiply, and infect the body. Harmful bacteria produce chemicals known as toxins, which can damage tissue and cause sickness.

Odoxil Suspension contains cefadroxil, a new semisynthetic cephalosporin antibiotic that works by preventing bacteria from forming their protective outer wall, leading to cell death. Thereby, it helps treat bacterial infections.

The doctor will decide the dose and duration of Odoxil Suspension based on the severity of your child’s infection. In some cases, Odoxil Suspension may cause common side effects such as diarrhoea, nausea, vomiting, sore tongue, abdominal pain, dyspepsia (indigestion), skin rash, and itching. Most of these side effects may not require medical attention and resolve over time. However, if your child experiences these side effects persistently, consult your doctor.
