Bandy Chewable Tablet is used in treating parasitic worm infections. It contains albendazole as its active component. Bandy Chewable Tablet should be taken as directed by the doctor and in doses and
duration as prescribed. It should be taken with food. Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to it . Also, inform the doctor about your detailed medical history before using Bandy Chewable Tablet.
- Intestinal Worms: Commonly prescribed for infections caused by roundworms, hookworms, pinworms (threadworms), and whipworms.
- Tapeworms: Used to treat infections caused by tapeworms, including neurocysticercosis (infection affecting the central nervous system/brain caused by pork tapeworm larvae) and cystic hydatid disease (infection causing cysts in organs caused by dog tapeworms).
- Other Parasites: It is also used to manage strongyloidiasis (threadworm infection) and giardiasis (an intestinal parasitic infection).
- Mixed Infections: The “Bandy Plus” variant, which combines Albendazole with Ivermectin, is used for mixed parasitic infections, including filariasis and scabies.
