Budecort 400 MCG Rotacap is a corticosteroid medicine (medicines that help in reducing pain, swelling and irritation of the affected part) containing Budesonide. It is used for the maintenance treatment of Asthma (a condition that affects your airways and leads to breathing difficulty) in children (above 5 years), adolescents and adults. Budecort 400 MCG Rotacap works by blocking the production of certain chemical messengers in your body that cause swelling and irritation in the lungs. Budecort 400 MCG Rotacap may cause some side effects like thrush (a fungal infection), sore throat, cough and hoarse voice. Inform your doctor if these side effects become severe or persist. Avoid taking this medicine if you are allergic to it. Budecort 400 MCG Rotacap is not recommended for use in children below 5 years of age unless prescribed by a doctor. Budecort 400 MCG Rotacap is a prescription medicine. It should be used in the dose and for the duration prescribed by your doctor. Follow all the instructions given in the leaflet. For the ease of remembering, use it at the same time every day. Even if you see an improvement in your condition, do not stop using it without consulting your doctor. If you discontinue the use of Budecort 400 MCG Rotacap too soon, your symptoms may relapse. Budecort 400 MCG Rotacap may interact with other medicines. Inform your doctor about the use of other medicines that you may be using. Also, inform your doctor if you have liver, kidney, heart problems before taking this medicine.
