• Prevention and Treatment of Kidney Stones: It helps stop the formation of calcium oxalate and uric acid kidney stones. By raising the pH of the urine (making it alkaline), it prevents the minerals and acid salts from crystallizing and accumulating into stones. It can also help manage the growth of existing stones.
• Management of Renal Tubular Acidosis (RTA): It is used to treat RTA, a condition where the kidneys fail to remove enough acid from the body, by helping to correct the body’s acid-base balance.
