Apigat 2.5mg Tab

• Apigat 2.5mg tab contains Apixaban 2.5mg which belongs to a group of medicines called anticoagulants  (Blood Thinners) medicine, which is used to treat  deep vein thrombosis (blood clots in leg veins) and pulmonary embolism (blood clots in the lung). Additionally, Apigat 2.5 Tablet 30’s is used to prevent blood clots in patients with atrial fibrillation (irregular heartbeat).

• Apigat 2.5mg tab’s most common side effects Constipation, Dizziness, Skin Rash, Stomach Pain, Headache, Nausea and Vomiting, Rate Side effects are Nose Bleed, Redness of eye, Swelling of face, lip, eyelids, and tongue.

• This medicine may not be suitable to everyone, before taking this medicine; you should inform your doctor about your complete medical history. If you are pregnant or intend to be pregnant or breast feeding, need to inform your doctor. If you stop treatment too early your symptoms may come back and your condition may worsen. Doctor may suggest some medical tests before initiating treatment.

• Apigat 2.5 Tab’s contains Apixaban that works by inhibiting the action of blood clotting factor (X a) which is an important element of blood clotting. Thereby, it prevents the conversion of fibrinogen (soluble protein) to fibrin (insoluble protein) and helps in preventing blood clot formation.
