A combination of an antibiotic and an antiprotozoal medicine used to treat mixed bacterial and parasitic infections of the gastrointestinal tract, genitourinary system, and teeth/gums. It works by killing both the bacteria and the anaerobic microorganisms causing the infection. It should be taken with food. Common side effects include nausea, headache, and dizziness
