Calpol 500 mg tablet is a pain-relieving medicine. It contains paracetamol as an active ingredient. Calpol is used for reducing fever and relieving pain, including toothache, headache, migraine, muscle ache, period pain, etc. Paracetamol works by inhibiting the action of certain substances that cause pain and acting on the brain centre that regulates body temperature. Although side effects from Calpol 500 are uncommon, you may experience skin rash or itching.
While taking this medicine, you should not take other medicines containing paracetamol. Do not take more than the recommended dose, and keep a gap of a minimum of 4 hours between two consecutive doses of Calpol 500.
Dolo 500mg tablet, Crocin Advanced 500mg tablet, Calpol 500mg tablet, Pyrigesic 500mg tablet, and Panadol tablet also include paracetamol as their main component.
The dose and duration of this medicine varies among individuals depending on the severity and condition it is being used for. You should not take more than 4 tablets of the Paracip 500 tablet in any 24 hours. Do not take it further if you feel that your pain and fever are relieved.
