Lexanox Oral Paste is a medicine used to treat mouth ulcers (aphthous ulcers) in adults. It is applied directly to the sore inside the mouth, where it forms a protective layer and helps the ulcer heal faster. It helps calm local inflammation, relieve discomfort, and speed up healing.
Lexanox Oral Paste should be applied as soon as possible after the first signs of a mouth ulcer appear. Use clean, dry fingers to apply a small amount of the medicine directly onto the ulcer, usually after meals and after brushing your teeth. Avoid eating or drinking for at least one hour after applying the medicine so it can work effectively.
Some may feel mild stinging, burning, or pain at the site of application when Lexanox Oral Paste is first applied. These effects are usually temporary and resolve on their own. If you develop a rash, worsening mouth irritation, or any unusual reaction, stop using it and consult your doctor.
